Christina Mok, Violin

Christina Mok, Violin An active performer, violinist Christina Mok has become a familiar figure in the classical music scene in Northern California. She devotes herself equally to solo performance, chamber recitals, and orchestral leading. She appeared as a soloist with the Russian Federal Symphony Orchestra, the Janacek Philharmonic, Symphony Silicon Valley, the Stockton Symphony, the Suwon Philharmonic and the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, among others. The San Jose Mercury said of a recent concerto performance, "She was a spellbinder as she dug in and let it fly...There was no need to long for Itzhak Perlman or Gil Shaham." Read More


Richard Andaya, Cello

Richard Andaya, is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory and Yale University, and has studied with Irene Sharp, Aldo Parisot, Gabor Rejto and Zara Nelsova. He has served as principal cello with the Sacramento Symphony, the Colorado Philharmonic and National Repertory Orchestra and held positions with the Oakland, San Jose and New Haven Symphonies. He performs regularly with the San Francisco Symphony and has appeared as soloist with the San Francisco Conservatory Orchestra, the Colorado Philharmonic, the National Repertory Orchestra, the California Youth Symphony, the Vallejo Symphony and several times with the Sacramento Symphony. Adelle-Akiko Kearns, Cello

A native of San Francisco, Adelle-Akiko Kearns started playing the
cello at the age of 11 under the tutelage of Mark Walker and continued
her studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the
Juilliard School with Irene Sharp, Bonnie Hampton, Joel Krosnick and
Sadao Harada. The recipient of a prestigious Artists International
Award, Adelle made her New York recital debut at Carnegie's Weill Hall

Elizabeth Prior, Violin An active Bay Area violist, Elizabeth Prior is the principal violist with the Santa Rosa symphony and is also a season substitute with the San Francisco Ballet. Elizabeth is associate principal with the Marin Symphony and performs regularly with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, the New Century Chamber Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony. Other orchestral credits include Freiburg Philharmonic (Associate principal) and Cape Town Symphony. She has toured and worked with Sudwestfunk, Stuttgart Radio, Basel Symphony, and the Mannheim Opera Orchestras. Read More
Karen Shinozaki Sor, Violin

Karen Shinozaki Sor joined the New Century Chamber Orchestra in its inaugural season. A familiar face in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, she also performs with the Santa Rosa and Marin Symphonies and as an extra in the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. She is also a frequent chamber music collaborator, appearing with diverse groups including the Santa Rosa Chamber Players, the Berkeley Contemporary Chamber Players, Music at the Mission, the Sor Ensemble, and the Worn Ensemble.
